Once again the call goes out far and wide to help guard our ferry crossings and keep the honor of our sheep against our dreaded foes from Dregate.
Join us June 6, 7 and 8th as the Sable Lion Thrones travel to Grimwith and their Majesties Cedric and Elizabeth join our Royal Patron's Duke Gunnar Brunwolf and Duchess Gabriell MacBain and the populace of Grimwithshire to welcome one and all to celebrate one year of full branch status by soundly thrashing our friends from across the mighty An Tir River!
In addition to the usual heavy carnage we will have:
Rapier! This year we will have a rapier tourney. This is currently scheduled for Sunday morning. Sergeant Michael of Lancaster will be heading this up.
Dancing: Please join Dance Master Roland Carpenter and Adele du Nord for an evening of dance under the main Pavilion. Saturday night at 7:00
Bardic: Commencing at 9:00 pm at the north fire ring.
Competitions:
The Art of War: This can be anything combat related; Armor, armor stands, garb, weapons, arming pavilion - if it can relate to war it can be entered here.
The Science of Peace: This includes just about any pastime that does not relate to combat.
Categories are Beginner, Intermediate and Expert. Last years A&S winner Companion Oso will be presiding over the competition.
Mead and Cordials: Bring your best and compete with the best! Categories here are Beginner, Intermediate and Expert. Documentation of your process is required for expert, encouraged for others. Extra points for presentation.
Period Encampment: Set up your best camp and win a spiffy prize! This will be judged on Saturday morning after Court by a wandering panel of judges.
Other Activities:
Heraldic Consult: Her Ladyship Juliana and crew will be on hand to help you with all things heraldic!
Children: There will be games for the children at 2:00 near the Eric. Volunteers to help with this are greatly appreciated!
Friday Night: The crew of the ship Atreides will be hosting a Soup Kitchen under the main pavilion from 8:00 until ??? so if you have traveled far and don't feel like cooking after you set up camp join us for a crust of bread and a bowl of soup. Coffee and assorted beverages available for night Gate, firewatch and anyone who cares to partake. Everyone is most welcome! Contributions ecstatically accepted!
