[Twnsqr] An apology

Greetings unto Their Excellencies Caieth and Araviere and the populace of Wealdsmere;

 I had pledged to organize the waterbearing for Celtic Revolt.

 Early on Saturday morning I had the car all packed full of tables, igloo coolers, and the day shade; I had with me Guy's garb I made him, Nick's armor to loan to a new fighter and several Baronial charters I had painted and I was on my way to Farragut.

 Just past Elk the transmission in my Explorer started slipping. You know when you are in drive at 2500 rpm and only going 30 mph? Yeah, not a good thing. I am in a no cell phone zone so I cannot even call the guys for advice. Checked and the fluid is good so this is bad.

 I know enough about transmissions to know it's time to park it when that happens. But I turned around and very slowly made it home.

  I couldn't afford to take the only other vehicle available - our 1977 F250 pick-up. I had just put $75.00 worth of gas in the Explorer. Filling the old truck is not an option at this point.

So I left the Barony hanging with no waterbearer, and no way to let anyone know I couldn't make it.

 I am very sorry about that. I truly intended to be there, had looked forward to it and am quite disappointed in the way it turned out, but the worst by far is that people were counting on me to do something and I wasn't able to.

So to your Excellencies and everyone affected by this please accept my sincerest apology. I really tried to be there.

HL Arnora Grimsdottir
