Hail to the Good Folk of An Tir from Sir Caieth, Baron of Wealdsmere!
Greetings to you my Friends, may this missive find you well.
I know many of you turn your thoughts toward Crown Tourney this Weekend, and
we wish honor and glory to all participants. I would like to invite you to
consider as well attending Celtic Revolt the following Memorial Day Weekend,
in the beautiful woods and meadows of Farragut State Park.
Her Excellency and I are especially eager to announce what we hope will be a
very rich experience for Arts and Sciences. We have a brand new and
seriously large Baronial Pavilion to shelter classes from either rain or shine; it
will be adjacent to both Merchant's Row and the Fighting Eric so Instructors
and Students alike can enjoy the spectacle of glorious combat whist they
enrich the realm. On Sunday, local Artisans will be offering classes in glass
bead making, scriptorium, calligraphy, embroidery, heraldry, wire jewelry and
of course Master Ian's forge will be set up as well. In addition, Mistress
Elayne and Mistress Nikita will be holding a consultation and sign up table
for their upcoming Ithra.
As this is the Barony's Newcomer event, Her Excellency and I would like to
cordially invite new members of the Society to camp with the Baronial
Household and Feast with Us Saturday night. You don't have to be brand-spanking new
to avail yourself of this invitation; we don't want anyone to not come
because they don't have a group to camp and hang out with. Please avail yourself
of Wealdsmere's hospitality and have a great time in the bargain. We tend to
be noisy, so fair warning.
We are opening our traditional household sit-down feast on Saturday to all
good gentles. I will provide the entree, all will please bring a side dish to
share (salads, grains/breads, desserts). If you are inclined to join us,
all we ask is that you RSVP by Wed. 5/21st, so we might shop and prepare.
I will be Fight-o-Crat and have some unique scenarios dreamt up. Bring all
your toys, it will be a giant mix of War and Tourney. We also have many
plans for Pied Piper activities, so bring the bairns, they will be entertained.
Championship competitions will be held throughout the weekend. The
tentative schedule is as follows:

Caieth
