MINUTES OF THE SILVERHART MEETING
Date 07/12/2008
15 People in attendance, 6:10 PM
OLD BUSINESS:
*Seamus stepped down as Seneschal*. Jorg has expressed interest. Is anyone
else interested? No one cam forward. Motion made and seconded that Jorg
become the canton's Seneschal. All approved, none opposed.
*Emelyn stepped down as Chronicler*. Gilia has expressed interest. Is
anyone else interested? No one cam forward. Motion made and seconded that
Gilia become the canton's Chronicler. All approved, none opposed.
*Defender of the Hart* – The autocrats apologize for the errors. The event
will be held at Winton Elementsry school in CDA. It is on La Crosse and
Melrose. It is a very nice site and has nice bathrooms. This will be a day
event. The autocrats need to change the Kingdom calendar and announce the
changes on the lists. We can charge a gate fee, but no NMS. There will be
a potluck feast with the Canton providing the meat. The day will start
early and have activities run all day. More details to come. Bardic will
be during the feast. There can be no official business at court. Cash is
needed for a change box at gate.
*Inventory *– No one knows what we have. All officers as well as anyone who
has canton stuff, please make a list of what you have and give it to
Aodhan. We need to get more organized.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
OFFICERS
EXCHEQUER: No changes to the bank balance. No checks were written.
GOLD KEY: New banner is made. Still need to meet with Sukei about the sword
raffle at Defender of the Hart.
CHRONICLER: New officer – no report. Minutes will be posted on the list.
HERALD: We had several people consult with the Heralds at Grim Offensive.
Hopefully submissions will soon be in process.
CHATELAINE: A business group contacted us on too short of notice for a
demo. They will contact us again in the future, hopefully with more
notice. They are business partners to the city of CDA and this could gain
us some good contacts. If possible could they set their demo later in the
day? No newcomer contacts last month.
MASTER OF STABLES: Not present
LISTS: Not present
A&S: No attendance in June. The casting is finished. Nest up is a shoe
making workshop taught by Sir Michael the Tall. Will begin between
Sergeant's and September Crown. Will have exact information soon. The cost
per person will be $20 with the Canton's A&S funds supplementing the
difference. Anyone interested needs to pay in advance. We will look to
doing the casting class again in winter.
SENESCHAL: New officer. The canton is lacking books needed in the library.
Would like to purchase a Known World Handbook as well as print out Corpora.
Requested $40. Motion made, seconded and approved. None opposed. To the
officers: We need to get on the ball to drive our group. All officers need
to have copies of your office's official handbook. You need to keep a
permanent record of your officer's reports to pass on to your successor.
For most officers, quarterly reports are due now.
WEALDSMERE
The Baron was present: Sartori Camp is coming up. It is an educational
international society. If you can, please make it. It is in Cheney. Info
will be posted again on line. They have been doing this demo for 20 years.
We will skip August's meeting as there are too many scheduling conflicts.
The next meeting is September 7, 6PM at Hastings on Appleway in Coeur d
Alene.
Meeting adjourned 6:42 PM
In Service,
Gilia
