To all good People of the Canton of Silverhart and thereabouts!
Rejoice! The time has come for last years champions to come forth and defend their title, or relinquish it to a worthy candidate!
The dark cloud has lifted and the sun has shown us the way to Winton Park, in Coeur d'Alene, for a day of fun, fighting and camaraderie! The prospect of seeing our long lost friends and meeting up with new ones gives us reason to celebrate!
Come one and all, Saturday, July 26th to compete in the divisions of Archery, Rapier, Heavy Fighter, Arts and Sciences, Games and Bardic. Compete in many and you may win the illustrious title "Defender of the Hart"!
Site opens @ 9:00am and closes @10:00PM
Activities start @ 10:00am
Heavy Tourney starts @ 12:00 noon
Most activities will continue thoroughout the day to give everyone an opportunity to play. A score card will be provided to each competitor to keep track of their scores in each division.
There will be a potluck feast in the late afternoon/early evening. The canton is providing Hamburgers to grill. Please bring a dish to share as follows by mundane last name:
A-I: Side dish (ie salads, chips, pasta, rice, veggies)
J-Q: Bread item (Hamburger buns, rolls, etc.)
R-Z: Dessert (keep in mind the weather)
This is a DRY site. As are all City Parks. Please bring your own beverages and lunch.
The Bardic Competition will take place during the feast.
Their Excellencies Baron Caieth and Baroness Araviere of Wealdsmere invite you to closing court after the feast, where the winners of the day will be announced!
?
Site fee is $5.00 with no non-member surcharge.
Children under 6 are free. (family cap?)
Winton Park is located at
1507 Melrose
Coeur d'Alene ID 83814
Next to Winton Elementary.
>From I-90 take the Hwy 95 exit and head South. Hwy 95 becomes Lincoln Way. Continue South on Lincoln Way to Lacrosse. Turn Right (West) on Lacrosse. Winton Park will be on your left, on the corner of Melrose and Lacrosse. Please park in the Lot, or on the Park side of the street, not in front of houses.
