Warm and Heartfelt Greetings to the Great and Noble Populace of Wealdsmere,
from Araviere, Baroness

Caieth and I were honoured with the Investiture over Thanksgiving weekend, and since Estrella War, we have attended eleven events in nineteen weekends, not including practices, meetings, and work parties.? To be honest, I have felt too busy packing/driving/unpacking/washing/sewing/making things/packing to find much time to reflect or debrief after each event, although now I regret it, because there have been so many highlights.?

I want to thank all the great folk of Wealdsmere who brought honour and glory to the Barony by attending AnTir West War for the?renown of our Kingdom and our gracious and noble Sovereigns, Cedric and Elizabeth.? It was a fantastic event, great fighting, great camaraderie, and of course, beautiful site on the ocean.
Our King demanded scutage; Wealdsmere delivered.? Hail to each and every one of you who made the long journey!

We have?been delighted to?recognize deserving members of our area for their many diverse contributions to the Dream, in service, Arts and Sciences, Bardic entertainments, and combat skills.? Please continue to freely submit worthy award recommendations.??We are in the?late stages?of the submission process?to Kingdom Heralds for new Baronial awards that will round out the current ones, to include first and second level awards for service, A&S, and combat arts in heavy, rapier, and archery.?

As hard-working officers who have put in?many years of dedicated service and?time turn over to new volunteers, please be patient with any lapses due to the learning curve:? specifically, we are working on updating the website, newsletter, and communication lines.? Anyone not able to access current info is welcome to call or email - and please share info with the many newcomers not on the email group lists.?

In addition to event autocrats and volunteers, I want to especially thank the Officer Core serving this region, and all those attending the meetings, helping to make these many events possible as well as great fun with lots of diverse activities to appeal to all the different appetites of participants.? The voices of experience are greatly appreciated.? So many generous volunteers have done so much in such a short time - designing and painting scrolls and charters, making award necklaces and pendants, constructing the new pavillion, building and painting the new thrones, hosting sewing parties and work parties, and so much more, all behind the scenes, all for the enjoyment of the many and to enhance the glory of Wealdsmere.? Thanks to all for?your dedication to the dream.? And as always, anyone interested in joining in is warmly welcome - don't be shy.

In joyful service,
Araviere
