May this missive find you well, Good People.

I write to make you aware of an opportunity to participate in a unique Demo in two weeks time.? Every year for the past 20 years, the Satori Camp holds an international conference for gifted teenagers.? You can find out more about them at

For the last several years, the SCA has shown up to assist them in their quest to?teach gifted youngsters about the Middle Ages.? While I have never gone before, it seems to me to be?an excellent?example of how our group can fulfil our educational role.? The emphasis in years past has been on Medieval dancing and feasting, with occasional fighting demos as well.

We are invited to do whatever we can to help on Wednesday, July 23rd.? The site is the campus of EWU in Cheney, Wa., more specific directions will be provided as we get closer.? I would like to invite any and all fighters and artisans to join me in supporting this event.? I will head out in the morning and tailor what we do depending on who can show up.? I know that in the evening there will be dancing and feasting, so even if you have to work that day you can still participate.? Satori has held out the possibility of making a donation to the Barony if we are able to muster enough folk.

If you think you are interested, please let me know.? ANY aspect of Medieval arts or culture is most welcome.? Further, I will inquire if they would allow merchants, there could be some legal issues there but I will find out.
