Greetings to Friends Far and Wide from Baron Caieth of Wealdsmere!

Celtic Revolt fast approaches and I wanted to get a reminder in to any who
intend to merchant at Celtic Revolt that there is a dastardly $35 fee to be a
vendor at Farragut State Park. Likewise in the dastardly column, my Park
Permit reads as follows:

"The group must provide a list of all vendors who will be operating at the
event, plus a $35 fee per vendor, to the Park 30 days prior to the event. For
each vendor who signs up late (within 30 days of scheduled event), the
applicable vendor fee is $45. You must obtain an Idaho Seller's Permit if you or
your agent intends to sell or rent a product, charge admission or charge a
fee for the use of tangible personal property for recreation. "

It is this type of attitude that has me vowing that this is the last event
Wealdsmere will hold at Farragut if at all possible - time will tell. But the
upshot of this missive is to make sure all who intend to merchant know they
have about 2 weeks to make a firm decision and get me their Seller Permit #.
To follow the letter of the permit, you should also endeavor to get the $35
fee to the Park as well; I have talked with the Ranger, she seems a
reasonable sort, but you can never tell when a bureaucrat will fall back on the need
to follow policy when they feel like being unreasonable. In other words, do
your best to get the check in the mail ASAP and I will do my best to work with
the Rangers to cut us some slack if 2 weeks is not enough time.

I am not a merchant and am only dealing with this in my capacity as
Autocrat. If anyone KNOWS they will be selling at Celtic and would like to volunteer
to be Merchant-o-crat I would greatly appreciate it, and I suspect your
fellow merchants might want someone running the show with a bit more experience
at it. Please contact me if interested.

For those receiving this on the Inlands Leaders list, I would be very
grateful if you would forward it to any local mailing lists you might have or
notify any merchants in your area.

Contact info for Farragut is as follows:
Pam Ellis
13550 E. Hwy 54
Athol, Id 83801
(208) 683-2425

Thank you, and please email me with any questions.

In Service,

Caieth
