[Twnsqr] Social Gathering!

Greetings my fellow Wealdsmerans!
Last night at the council meeting,
we discussed a potential social gathering type of mini-event, in order to
bring together more of our interests and such.
I'm hoping to create a
"mini-event" on an evening near to Halloween, I know people
typically attend parties and such, so one more won't be a big deal,
right?
What I'd like to know is what day would be best for people who
would like to attend?

The week in question is September
29-November 2. Thursday night fight practice would be Nov 1, and dance
practice that month will be Oct 24 if I'm not mistaken. So, is Thursday a
good night for the general populace, or would a Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, or even Friday be better?

What I'd like to do is
organize a pot-luck, so people don't have to worry about going home to
eat, and have the time scheduled at the school (if we CAN) from about
5:30/6ish to 9 PM or 10 if it's Friday).
Maybe we can have a
tournament for the fighters, an A&S display, or a class or two? What
are YOUR interests? (email me off-list)
Also, I would like some help
in advertising to the general public for the same event, but I want to
make sure I'm going to have enough people present to give them more than
one aspect of the SCA to look at...
I'd love to invite Silverhart
also, maybe even Grimwith, to increase the attendance.
