Greetings...
My employer just gave me about 100 pounds of miscellaneous fabric remnants. Most are about 18 inches square, though one end has holes. Some are a little smaller, some a little larger. Most are dry clean only, but are cotton or poly/cotton blends (some are machine washable). Tapestry fabric, upholstery fabric, fuzzy stuff, wovens... I can't begin to come up with words to describe the selection. And the color choice is endless also.
Uses I'm planning for those I'm keeping: art-quilts, purses, wallets, bags and pouches for carrying smallish items, one piece I decided would make a perfect rug, some I'm hoping to turn into a hat. Some would also do great for costuming (though not necessarily any type of period costuming)... I'm planning a dance vest or some such thing. I'm still brainstorming ideas too.
Anyways, if anybody has any remote, far-fetched possible use for these pieces and wants some of them (or all of them!), please let me know. Also, rumor has it there are probably a few hundred more pounds out there if I want them.
