As of 8/2/06 the word from the Department of Natural Resources and USFS at this point is that contained, above ground fires will be allowed. Tiki torches will also be allowed. 

All fires must be 16 inches above ground, be in an area free of grass or other fuels and must have a shovel, bucket of water and human being within 4 feet at all times.

All other flame (ie: candles, stoves) must be closely attended at all times.

This is subject to change any second at the whim of the DNR, USFS or any other fire authorities, so the current rules will be posted at gate.

The contingency bardic pit (a propane deck fire) will be onsite just in case!
